Fit Nation Friends & Family 5K FAQs
Los Angeles-based, regular benefits-eligible Warner Bros. Discovery employees are eligible to attend with up to three guests. Guests must be accompanied by an eligible employee in order to attend the event.
Can my child run/walk with me?
All ages are welcome to participate. For the safety of all participants, young children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times during the event. Children and accompanying adults who wish to participate should select the “family wave” option during check-in on race day.
Is there a time limit for completing the 5K?
The 5K is open to walkers and runners of all levels and abilities; however, the course will close at 10:30 a.m.
Will there be water and restrooms at the event?
Yes! Water stations will be available along the course, and restroom facilities will be available to 5K participants and spectators.
Can I take photos at the event?
Yes! However, because of the sensitive nature of many of the locations on our lot, employees and guests are not allowed to share confidential photos, videos or other information via social media. Please refer to the photography section of the Fit Nation 5K waiver for full details. Event photographers will be on hand to capture runners and walkers along the course, and participants will have the opportunity to download their photo(s) after the event.
Can I bring my pet to the event?
The 5K is a humans-only event. Please leave your pets at home.
Can I jog/walk with a stroller?
Yes, participants are welcome to push a child in a stroller during the race. If you plan to do so, you must select the “family wave” option during check-in on race day. Please note that you may need to avoid certain areas of the course if using a stroller.
Can I bike/roller blade/skateboard in the 5K?
For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, 5K participants must run, jog or walk. Mobility aids such as wheelchairs are permitted.
How will I know my finish time?
Participants will be timed via chips in their 5K bibs. You’ll be able to see your time at the end of the event.
Can I register the day of the event?
Onsite registration will not be available. All employees must register for themselves and their guests in advance. Registration is open until 11:59 pm PT on May 24.
If I’m unable to attend at the last minute, can my guest(s) attend without me?
No. All guests must be accompanied by an employee to enter the WB Lot and participate in the event.
Can I register for myself now and add guest names at a later date?
No. You will only be able to complete this registration form once. Be sure to have all guests’ information (name, age, emergency contact) on hand before you register.
What if I need medical attention?
We will have medical support in the finish area but if something happens on the course, please find a 5K Staff member or Volunteer and ask for help.
Is this a closed course?
The course is closed to outside traffic; however, we may have tour carts standing by to cross the route. Please be mindful and pay attention to signage and direction from Security.
Will I get a medal?
Yes! All finishers will receive a Fit Nation medal to commemorate this awesome event.
